How the 2012 Games can inspire us locally

In its third year Buying Greener in the South East took a fresh look at greening businesses to help them gain a competitive edge, taking the 2012 games as local inspiration.

The event attracted over 160 attendees from businesses across the south east and France. Sponsored by the Interreg 111a Eco-enterprise Programme and by the South East of England Development Agency (SEEDA), the event provided 6 workshops and 2 field trips throughout the course of the day, with keynote speeches form David Hill, Chief Executive of Ashford Borough Council and Shaun McCarthy Director of Action Sustainability.

In total 31 exhibitors filled the indoor running track at the Julie Rose Stadium allowing delegates the opportunity to explore the sector and take the time to network between workshops.
